ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES WORK
Over the years I've worked on scores of projects that might be relevant to a particular role. But not everything can go into the main creative portfolio, so I’ve had to be a fairly ruthless editor.
I've spent quite a long time working in financial services comms, a lot of it through-the-line, for brands like Hiscox, Egg and ING Direct. Since you've found your way to this page, here are some examples of DM, explanatory content and a few other pieces.
HISCOX
There's a smattering of Hiscox work on the main site - it was one of the main accounts I worked on at VCCP and I sometimes headed over to The City to present work to their marketing team. As well as the big ad campaigns and experiential stuff, I also worked on a lot of their DM and a series of explanatory videos.

We put together this series of content videos explaining various consumer and business insurance products (while also making the case for the premium-priced cover Hiscox offers):
DM
No-one really wants to receive direct mail. So we thought we'd acknowledge this and use it as a link to business cover. After all, life is full of potentially unwanted scenarios - which is why you need insurance...
Here are a few more examples. This kind of DM isn't in the frame for creative awards (there's more of that kind of work on my homepage if that's your thing). But for several years it formed the backbone of a very profitable and effective account.
Miscellaneous
Hiscox wanted to appear at a trade show and explain how technically advanced they were - so we created an interactive demo using Microsoft Kinect, so they could do the explaining in an innovative way. (Sorry about the naff music on this one.)

EGG
Long before I worked at VCCP, I worked in-house for the ground-breaking bank Egg.
This is over a decade old now, and Egg is a bit of a forgotten brand. I had to have a quick root around in the shed to find this stuff. But at the time it was a breath of fresh air in financial services - they pioneered a friendly, modern and simple approach to financial services comms that has since become the norm across the industry.
